I had experience with men and women doctors. I had women’s health issues that seem to be answered differently by each doctor. May you think that women doctors have a better knowledge on women’s health issues, but in May you find that you are not right about this. The only doctor who gave me the most definitive answers and useful information is a man. The woman doctor, I went to gave me very vague answers and do not seem to have time to listen to my concerns.
My questions on women’s health have to do to on having a baby. I felt there was more to do with me than bad timing. I knew there was a possibility that I might have PCOS. My doctor would not take me seriously, and she said that everything was in my head. Each of my questions about the health of women has been met with disapproval and a feeling that she has not heard a word I said and was not prepared to admit that she did not know everything.
I decided to take my questions on women’s health to someone else. This time I found a male doctor. Although I have always preferred a woman when he came to reproductive health, I decided that I may have been short-sighted on this issue. When I talked to about my new doctor of women’s health issues heard everything I had to say, and it also ordered tests on the basis of my suspicion. Not only did he confirm that I have PCOS, he worked with me through information and treatment. Needless to say, it was my doctor since. Although I have yet to succeed with a pregnancy to term, at least I know what’s wrong with my system and I can work to correct the problem. No, everything is more complicated than PCOS, but do not forget to try a doctor what they can do for you, not their gender.
